Everyone doing okay out there? We know - it’s an uncomfortable and unprecedented time. If you’re anything like us, you’re anxious for things to feel normal again - although I don’t think any of us are quite sure what “normal” will look like. Here’s what we do feel confident about: as venues open up and parties go back on the books, photo booths will be one of the hottest spots at your event. Not only do photo booths usher in feelings of nostalgia and familiarity, they also allow guests to let loose and have fun while still respecting COVID-19 recommendations and safe practices. Social distancing? Check. Outdoor-friendly? You bet. Limited contact? We’ve got you covered. Here’s a few ways photobooths have been COVID-19 friendly from the start
Photo booths typically incorporate two areas: the line where guests eagerly wait for their turn, and the backdrop where guests snap their photos in front of the camera. This naturally creates distinct areas that allow individuals to maintain a safe and respectful distance from others. If you’d like, our team would be happy to place inconspicuous marks to indicate where guests can stand in case anyone’s getting too close. Once it’s time to strike their pose, each group will have the backdrop all to themselves!
Fresh air is good for everyone - COVID included. If you’re looking to move your event outside to reduce possible transmission, we’ve got your back. Our portable backdrops make it easy to set up your photo booth in just about any space (just make sure we’re near an outlet!) and get your guests that perfect shot!
The size and scope of a photo booth instinctively lends itself to a more private and exclusive affair rather than one that demands large groups. Although the backdrop and space can easily hold up to 6 or 8 guests at once, we wouldn’t try to squeeze any more in. We’ll continue to encourage these smaller groups to limit extraneous stand-ins or awkward contact with those you may not be familiar with. Stick to your close friends and family for that sweet photo !
Since contamination can occur from germy surfaces, we’ve trained our staff and incorporated technology to reduce (and nearly eliminate) that possibility to occur! While standing at least six feet away, our attendant will indicate where to stand and let guests know what to expect. At their cue, the attendant will start the countdown until the camera captures the shot! After their session, attendants can send the photo(s) to their email addresses, where each guest can individually upload to social media. If you’re incorporating prints at your event, our attendants will retrieve them from the printer and hand them directly to the guest. No cross-contamination here! .
Just in case the lone cough has found its way onto our setup, we’ll be sanitizing our equipment regularly to disinfect those surfaces. Those germs won’t stand a chance !
